Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Clear Pano ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Clear Pano apps for iOS and Android and the clearpano.com website. We are based in the United Kingdom. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, and some information created when you use the apps:
- Account Information: Your name, email address, and account ID. Your password is stored by Amazon Cognito, our sign-in provider. We never see it.
- Your Content: The 360° photos you import, plus tour names, descriptions, text, hotspots, floor plans, and branding (such as your logo)
- Location: The GPS position saved in your 360° photos' metadata, and any property location you choose. We use it to place your tours on maps and, if you choose, to publish them to Google Street View. The apps don't track your device's location.
- Purchases: Which plan or team seats you bought, your subscription status, the price and currency, and transaction IDs from Apple or Google. Apple and Google process the payment. We never receive your card details.
- Device and App Details: Device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, screen size, and processor count. We also store Meta's anonymous install ID and, on iOS, Apple's identifier for vendor (see "Advertising measurement (Meta)" below).
- Diagnostics: Error reports (device model, operating system, app version, and error details), so we can fix problems
- App Activity: App opens, creating your first tour, publishing a tour, viewing upgrade options, reaching your plan's tour limit, opening Street View features, subscribing, and cancelling
- Optional Information: Your answers to the "Where did you hear about us?" and business-type questions, and any messages you send us through Contact Us
This information is linked to your account. What we share with Meta for advertising measurement, and what needs your permission, is explained under "Advertising measurement (Meta)" below.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Process your subscription and send related information
- Send technical notices, updates, and support messages
- Send onboarding and marketing emails, chosen using the app activity listed above. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Measure which of our ads lead to installs, sign-ups, first tours, and purchases. We don't show ads in our apps.
- Respond to your comments and questions
- Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activity
We send account and product emails using Mautic, an email platform that runs on our own servers. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails. It does not stop transactional emails such as receipts, security alerts, and account messages, which we need to send to run your account. You can also unsubscribe by emailing hello@clearpano.com.
Under UK GDPR, our legal basis for using your advertising ID, and your hashed email address and account ID, for advertising measurement is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time (see "How to opt out" below). For the rest of our advertising measurement — app events, Meta's install ID, and device details — our legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which of our ads work. Our legal basis for service and account emails is the performance of our contract with you, and for some product communications, our legitimate interest in running and improving Clear Pano.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS). All data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With your consent
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect our rights and prevent fraud
- With service providers who assist our operations (listed under "Third-Party Services" below)
- With Meta Platforms, for advertising measurement (see "Advertising measurement (Meta)" below)
Public content. Tours you publish can be viewed by anyone with the link, unless you protect them with a password when you publish. Tours you publish to Google Street View are public on Google Maps.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data (see "Deleting Your Account" below)
- Export your tour data
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any marketing email
- Withdraw permission for advertising measurement: on iOS in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and on Android in Settings → Privacy → Ads
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@clearpano.com
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your Clear Pano account in either of these ways. Full details are also on our account deletion page.
- In the app: if you have a paid subscription, cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (team members don't need to do this). Then go to Settings → Delete Account and confirm. This permanently deletes your account.
- Without the app: email hello@clearpano.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your account.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in details
- Your profile (name and email address)
- All your tours, 360° photos, and other files you uploaded
- Your branding (logo)
- Your team memberships and invites
- The device details we store
If you're part of a team
- Team members: your tours pass to the team owner instead of being deleted, and you're removed from the team. The team owner is told.
- Team owners: all tours associated with your account are deleted, including the team's tours and the tours your team members created. Your team members keep their own Clear Pano accounts, but lose access to the team and its tours, and go back to the free plan.
What is kept or deleted later
- Deleted files can remain in our storage backups for up to 30 days.
- Purchase and subscription records are kept by Apple or Google under their own policies.
- Data already sent to Meta for advertising measurement is held under Meta's policies.
- Your email address stays in our email platform (Mautic), marked as deleted. We use it to stop our account and product emails, and we may send you emails inviting you back to Clear Pano. You can unsubscribe from these using the link in any email.
- Photos you published to Google Street View are held by Google. Remove them before deleting your account: in the app (Street View → Remove) or on Google Maps.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can delete individual tours and photos in the app at any time. Deleting a tour deletes its files.
Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
App diagnostics and analytics. Our apps record error reports and usage diagnostics. These are linked to your signed-in account (your email address or account ID) so we can investigate problems and help you with support requests.
Advertising measurement (Meta)
We use Meta's SDK and Meta's Conversions API to measure which of our ads lead to installs, sign-ups, first tours, and purchases. We don't show ads in our apps. Some of this data is sent from our servers so that renewals, which happen while the app is closed, can be reported. Meta uses it to tell us which ads worked and to optimise our campaigns.
What Meta receives:
- App events: installs, app opens, creating your first tour, and purchases and renewals, with their value and currency
- Meta's anonymous install ID
- Your device details (listed under "Information We Collect" above) and your IP address
- On iOS, Apple's identifier for vendor
Only with your permission, Meta also receives:
- Your advertising ID. On iOS, this is the IDFA, sent only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, which appears on the first Home screen after you sign in. On Android, this is the Google advertising ID, sent only if you haven't turned off ad personalisation or deleted the ID in Android settings.
- Your email address and account ID, hashed (scrambled) before they are sent
Meta's SDK may also send Meta crash and diagnostic data about the SDK itself.
How to opt out: on iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Our website. clearpano.com uses Google Analytics to understand how the website is used, and the Meta Pixel, an advertising cookie, to measure the performance of our advertising — page views and lead-form submissions. A banner on the site tells you about these cookies and links to this policy.
Tour viewer. The web viewer for published tours may use cookies for functionality purposes only. It uses no advertising cookies.
Third-Party Services
Our apps and website work with the following service providers:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Hosting, photo storage, sign-in (Amazon Cognito), and sending email
- Apple App Store and Google Play: Purchases and subscriptions
- Google Maps and Places: Maps and property-location search. Your search text and chosen location are sent to Google.
- Google Street View: Only if you connect your Google account and choose to publish. Your photos and their locations are sent to Google and are governed by Google's terms (see the next section).
- Meta Platforms: Advertising measurement, as described above
- Mautic: Our email platform, for account and product emails, running on our own servers. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
- Apple Search Ads (iOS): The app asks Apple which Apple search ad, if any, led to your install.
- Push notifications (iOS): If you allow notifications, a device token is stored so we can send them.
Google Account Data — Street View Publishing
When you choose to publish a tour to Google Street View, Clear Pano requests access to your Google Account via the Google Street View Publish API (scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/streetviewpublish).
- What we access: the ability to create, update, and delete the 360° photos and metadata that you publish to Google Street View through Clear Pano.
- How we use it: solely to upload the panoramas and tour data you select, position and connect them on the map, and let you update or remove them — only at your explicit direction.
- How we store it: we store a Google authorization (refresh) token, encrypted, on our secure AWS infrastructure, so the uploads and updates you request can be completed. You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting Google in Clear Pano or via your Google Account permissions.
- How we share it: we do not sell, transfer, or share your Google user data with third parties; it is used only to provide the Street View publishing feature.
Clear Pano's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Children's Privacy
Clear Pano is a business tool for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this privacy policy.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You can delete your account at any time in the app, or by emailing hello@clearpano.com. What is deleted, and what is kept or deleted later, is set out under "Deleting Your Account" above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
